On 01 23 07 their was a death in the softball family we went to send our deepest sympathy out to the New Danville Softball leauge which had to burry their hope and dreams for the spring and summer of 2007 when Ron Sharpe and Corey Sharpe pulled their team from the rancks of teams bringing the leauge down to 3 teams in the fall their were some other exciting possabiltys but they all fell threw its sad to us at Derstler Daily we had hope to cover that leauge as well . Some of our thoughts though have been that some of the ideas that they came up with which i think would be an added blessing for elanco leauge & some for the garrett fast pitch leauge to inhert our
1. Have Bang Bang anouce all the games or mentor others to anouce games every night .
2 strasburg < find a score board for both feilds
3. Have a league baquet as they do in oxford after the season .
4. adopt a play off season for the bottom half teams as well as the top keeping everyone excited about the game untill late august this would keep some teams from loseing interest around july 4rth 2007
5. also strasburg to get a food court or snack bar up and running for the park nightly especially now that the leauge has 13 teams and have inherted the 3 teams left in New Danville bringing the game total we will play up to 36 games to make it possable we will play mon thru thurs and have a few late night double headers as they do in south phila @ n.y. n.y
so with the Death of the New Danville Leauge we welcome all thease 3 teams to Elanco welcome home .
